Sakura-con 2012, a set on Flickr.
Finally finished my Sakura-con shots. Here’s a select few from the event!Might be a bit late, but here’s some shots of a friend and I in our Ico and Yorda getups at Katsucon!
The first two shots courtesy of Daniel Grey Photography, the third thanks to Chaotic Crafts and Cosplay.
Zelda spinning her heart out. Part of a very fun shoot at Sakura-con 2012!
Katsucon 2012’s come and gone, and while it was my first time at Katsucon, I’ve gotta say that it was absolutely amazing. Definitely going back next year if I can.
Did I mention that I got to meet takusen, the one who did that really great drawing of me not too long ago? She’s a pretty fantastic gal, and took shots of me at the Tiger and Bunny shoot when I was in my formal Kotetsu getup. Drop her a visit!

I’m so graceful. More brilliant work from Sam Lau! Pay the man a visit and check out his other shots, he’s just gotten a tumblr going.

Last of the Youmacon 2011 shots (that I’ve taken, that is), Anemone from Eureka 7. Worn and made by Zhelly— who, may I say, is completely bonkers and an absolute joy to shoot with.
The fantastic Macross Frontier costumes of Kit and Sonteen never fail to amaze me, which is why I was so grateful that they asked me to shoot for them this past Youmacon! Featuring Sonteen as Alto and Kit as Ranka. Full set up here.
Want some lovely cosplayers in Black Rock Shooter costumes? You do? Fantastic! Then you’ll enjoy this handful of shots from Youmacon 2011. Played around with the processing a bit on this one, I’ll let everyone else decide whether or not my endeavors were successful.
Another shot of the Zack Fair costume, this time with the rest of the group I was with on Friday! Courtesy of Sam Lau, whose photography never ceases to amaze me. Guy’s a pro, give him some recognition and kind words, eh?
I’ll try to stop spamming my with shots of my Zack Fair getup. Instead, I’ll spam with shots of my Kotetsu costume, once I get them! At least I’m posting more frequently, right?
Zack Fair: I dunno, some jerkwad
Cloud Strife: The Letter Jay
Aerith Gainsborough: Ammie
Yuffie Kisaragi: Straywind
Tifa Lockheart: Jukebox
Another Zack shot! And with that, a very select few memories from this past Youmacon 2011, because dammit, I have a blog and need to blog more.
Bumping into Sam first thing on Friday. The guy’s a boss and I’m surprised he recognized me when I was in costume, even though we’d run into each other at cons before. At least it got me some good shots— the above one’s courtesy of him, nice eh?
As already mentioned, shaking my booty in various costumes. Especially the Zack Fair bootyshake. Surprised that even made it into the music video, ha-hah.
Shooting with Brenda and Abby in their Black Rock Shooter costumes, oh god, so many derpfaces.
During the Tiger and Bunny shoot, stealing Ken’s (in his Keith costume) foreveralone bench and turning it into the gaybench with Priscilla in her Barnaby costume.
Talking about butts, I’m sarcastically saying, “butts? What’s a butt? I don’t even know what a butt is. Priscilla, d’you like butts?” And without skipping a beat, she says completely straightfaced, “I like butts.”
Speaking of butts, bumpin’ butts with Abby in her Anemone outfit. Also, smoothies and donuts and amazing outdoor shots that totally made the cold worth it.
Running into everyone I’d met over the course of the con, on the last day, while in the food court talking to Amber and Jay. It was like a big reunion spread out over the course of 4 hours while I waited for my bus back to Chicago.
There’s so many other memories from the con, but I’ll refrain from those and work on the photos I took instead. While I didn’t shoot nearly as much this year, did still do a few shoots, and gotta work on all the shots from the concerts/masq for press duties. Damn conventions and the people they come with, making me all sentimental. ‘Til the next time I see you lot~
Going through my shots from this past weekend’s Nerdapalooza (which was a blast), I find these 4 of Schaffer The Darklord’s crotch. It’s like Andy Warhol did a piece on his crotch. Oh, Nerdapalooza.
Welp. I’m back on Tumblr. Wordpress couldn’t hold me, I guess.
Here’s some girl from Anime North. I don’t know what she was dressed as, but she’s pretty. Dat’s a dress right thurr.
Two things!
One, the Youmacon 2010 general and masquerade shots are up. Full article about it on The J-Show, or just the shots here.
Second, one of them got featured on Kotaku. Don’t I feel special!
