Shot courtesy of Sam Lau, and I gotta say, the guy’s a bro. Met him at Anime LA 2011, where he did my Tropius shots. Ran into him again at a few cons throughout the year as well, and whether I was shooting or cosplaying he knew it was me. Whether he’s talking photography kit with you or getting his own set up to make you look fantastic in costume, he’s great. If he doesn’t know your character? He’ll ask who they are, what they’re like, what they do, etcetera so he can suggest some good poses. He’ll take his time to get the angle, lighting, and composition right for a shot.
Basically, if he asks you for a photo, consider yourself privileged!
