tl;dr: Not a very well-explained one.
Think I might be the wrong person to ask on this, but I’ll try anyway.
When I think relationship, I think the whole, commitment-to-a-single-person thing. And an open relationship (and to a lesser degree, poly ones) don’t really seem like that to me. It just seems like…being really good friends that have a good time. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and I’m guilty of that myself.
Disclaimer, different for every individual case, yadda yadda.
